Welcome to Word Alive Ministries

Teaching Word Alive Ministries (WAM) is the name given to various ministry initiatives that are sponsored by several Winnipeg, Manitoba area churches and organized by the WAM Committee. Although independent and non-denominational, these local churches would often be described as “Christian Brethren” assemblies.

Psalm 119:130 “The entrance of Your words give light” aptly describes the purpose of WAM, namely to provide opportunities for God’s Word to be presented: His written Word, the Bible, that is spiritual light; and His Living Word, Jesus Christ, who is spiritual light.

Elwood - Eternity This CD was made possible through the vision and initiative of a fine Christian named Bonnie Heikoop. Upon hearing some of these songs at a conference, Bonnie desired to personally fund a full CD because, as she put it, "These songs have to get out there!" Shortly afterward at just 27 years young, Bonnie died in a traffic accident. She is now enjoying eternity with her Saviour who loved her and gave Himself for her.
